As the world of apps continually mushrooms with new apps every day, there are games, novelty apps, funny apps, utility apps and many apps for children but I am very impressed with the Color Band Kids App. The concept is to offer kids an interactive music and art app and let them draw and compose their own melodies. Each color represents a different musical instrument so when a child draws with different colors, it creates a melody when played back. A really wonderful and quite amazing feature is the ability to play the melody back by moving your hand in front of the camera on the IPad. Of course you do have to have an IPad other than IPad 1 for this that has a camera to be able to make this work. The music can also be played back by touching each drawing or by the music box which plays back all of the instruments.
