In the past year or so there has been much discussion on the need for more children’s books on diversity. Since retiring from teaching elementary school several years ago I was curious if the number of books in this area have increased so I did a quick check to see what is offered on Amazon.com. I found a moderate amount of books on diversity . Here are some of the selection that have good ratings. Some are available in print and some digitally on Kindle.

The selection of books that I chose for this blog are ones that are specifically for younger children, ages 3-8 years of age. It is comforting to know there are such interesting books on this subject but I hope there will be even more in the coming years. These are children’s books on diversity that are illustrated picture books and that are highly rated on Amazon. Each book can be viewed in excerpts through the look at me selection.
