Kidlit 411
January is a special month for writers and illustrators with all of the special events now through January 15 with the Kidlit Birthday Bash and giveaways. Most children’s writers, authors, and illustrators are familiar with Kidlit 411, a website and blog that gives resources, and information that is very helpful and informative. There is also a FaceBook group that offers additional ways for the Kidlit members to interact and ask questions and post information.
The resources offered on the website include a manuscript swap which offers matching writers with critique partners for an a specific manuscript critique or for on an ongoing basis. topical pages offer links to articles and resources. There is also Author and Illustrator Spotlights which that feature authors and illustrators and their experiences in the children’s books. The Weekly 411 updates the new links that were added each week and can be subscribed to by email. The Kidlit 411 website and FaceBook group is the creation of ELAINE KIELY KEARNS. She is joined by SYLVIA LIU who helps with the website and arranges the Illustrator Spotlights.
The Kidlit 411 Birthday bash and giveaway is to celebrate the second anniversary of the website and FaceBook group. The prizes that are being offered so far include:

Jan. 6, ALL ABOUT CRAFT – giving away classes and critiques.
Jan. 7 AGENT SPOTLIGHT ON LORI KILKELLY – giving away a submission opportunity
