Halloween is here. Do you have your costumes and treats ready? This year my church had Trunk R Treat and I participated in it for the first time. Some people went to great lengths to decorate their trunks and to dress up in Halloween costumes. I dressed up as a crazy artist and had my trunk somewhat decorated but want to decorate on a larger scale next year. I decided to give out treats that were not candy and had some Halloween necklaces, plastic bugs and skeletons and some glow in the dark bracelets. The kids seemed OK with getting a treat that was not candy.
I had a realization that all of the adults from my church were having probably as much as fun as the kids as they answered the kids questions about their costumes. There was quite an assortment of costumes from our pastor dressed up as a box troll to the music director that was a big sandwich.
I brought my favorite Halloween toy to share with my trunk r treaters and it was a big hit. It is a little sound activated ghost that bounces up and down and makes a ghost howl noise. The kids loved it! It tops my list of last-minute Halloween memories.
