It is time to catch up with posting my October and November illustrations for Doodle Day. Doodle Day for those of you that are not familiar with it, is a FaceBook group for children and adults that like to draw or doodle. The experience level ranges from beginner to professional but the focus is to have fun and learn from each other and our practice in drawing.
The theme for October was inventions.
Inventions
I also worked on my promotional card for my illustrations and is two-sided. These cards are sent out to book publishers and art agents.
Halloween was also on my mind and I created several illustrations on that theme.
November’s prompts for Doodle Day were for picture books since that is picture book month. The idea was to either use one of the picture books that were mentioned or one of our own ideas for PiBoMold, a challenge for authors and illustrators to come think of 30 new ideas for picture books. All of mine were for ideas for my own books except the second one which is a takeoff on the children’s picture book, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. It was a busy two months since I was also working on other illustration and book projects, PiBoldMo and I hosted on this website the Halloween Cyber Party, but I enjoyed my October and November illustrations for Doodle Day and hope you do also.
