It is that time of year when children are getting excited about school being out for the summer and parents are planning their vacations. I remember as a child riding in the car for long periods of time and being very bored. When I viewed Roxie’s A-maze-ing Vacation Adventure app , it brought back memories of this and how I wish I would have had an IPad back then with a fun interactive activity like this to occupy my time. Roxie’s A-maze-ing Vacation Adventure is another imaginative and fun project by Roxie Munro, the award-winning author and illustrator.

It has sounds, music, lots of animation, and up to five players can participate. The maze is random…you travel over 16 screens, and then work your way all the way back to the beginning. You can search for a penguin in each screen (which moves around and changes positions every new time you play), letters, numbers, and other items, adding your successes up on a running score. It is wordless (English is not required), and sells world-wide. The developer is the very creative app company OCG Studios.
