October is here and Fall is in full swing; what a great time for a Pumpkin Heads book review. Picture book month is also in October. There are so many wonderful picture books that can be shared with children. Special stories about holidays are always a great way to peak a child's interest.
Pumpkin Heads is a special picture book about Fall and pumpkins. It is an easy to read book with few words and colorful illustrations. Written and illustrated by Wendell Minor, the book is a must read for anyone that loves visits to the pumpkin patch. Although some Halloween books tend me rather scary for very young children, this one is not. By focusing on the many different sizes and variations in faces, and the different ways decorated pumpkins are displayed. It is targeted for the 4-8 age group and is published by Scholastic.
